The Shop Small series - part one

Ooof! Just like that, gifting season is among us!

I don’t know about you, but I dread gifting a generic gift. I love to find gifts full of thought, chosen especially for the recipient, and purchased thoughtfully too - desperately trying to avoid helping Mr Bezos with his next crackpot adventure, and supporting small, indie, tax paying businesses instead :-) But also, I’m busy and it’s takes time …

So, here’s some beautifully curated gifting ideas from a select bunch of business buddies - just for you :-) I have a few of these on my shopping list too!

First up, check out JustGiftMe, a brand all about helping you bring happiness and smiles to your family and friends with practical gifts that become special through a unique and fun personalisation that goes beyond adding a name.

They offer a good variety of products: mugs, water bottles, tea towels, aprons, notebooks, tote bags, cosmetic bags, tablet cases, and much more. All products are personalised with a cartoon you can customise to resemble the person. You can change the skin tone, hairstyle and colour, eye shape and colour, add facial hair and glasses. You can also choose your preferred background pattern and add any text, and the designs are fun and colourful. All the illustrations we have created to build the cartoons are original hand-drawn images designed by us, which brings that uniqueness to all our gifts.

There’s gorgeous gifts here for all the family- my kids would LOVE to send a mug with their face on to their grandparents!  https://justgiftme.co.uk/

As my children get older, we are trying to hold on to as much Christmas magic as we can! This year I’m going to treat them to a letter from Father Christmas himself via the International Elf Service®  and what’s more, we’ve been given a discount code - just use BB15 for 15% off.

International Elf Service is the Official Magical North Pole Post Office! Each year they send thousands of beautifully illustrated, personalised letters, written by Christmas Elves (or Father Christmas himself!) especially for your children - with all the latest updates from the Elves' Workshop. Delivered by Magic and hidden mysteriously around their home for them to discover. And all on the most exquisite recycled North Pole Paper.

It could be anything … from their multi-award-winning and original Magical Advent Calendar, to Letters from Father Christmas himself, the Believe Letter (which explains what happens in the North Pole from the moment you’re born), Certificate for Baby’s First Christmas, Baby’s First Christmas Memory Box tradition, Colouring & Activities Letter Bundles, Gorgeous Christmas Mice and more!

And they even send out Magical Personalised Storybooks - not just for Christmas!

Visit them at International Elf Service and receive Christmas Magic straight to your home. And use the code - BB15 :-)

Now, you know I love a print? Well Lucy Miller Shop is my new business crush! Lucy is a passionate designer specialising in crafting artwork inspired by nature. Her designs adorn products such as greetings cards, gift wrap, stationery, textiles and art prints. Gifts perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Her pressed floral range was born out of the inspiration from her lockdown walks and the joy of exploring nature alongside her two boys. From carefully pressing delicate flowers and capturing their essence through photography and artistic assembly, she finds it an enjoyable process to work through. The pressed Winter leaf collection is an extension of her pressed floral range. It captures the detail and beauty of nature, and aspires to bring the wonders of the outdoors, into your space this festive season.

Designed and proudly made in the UK.

Check out the planner pads for anyone with a busy life! Also tempted by the beautiful gift wrap tbh …

My mum is a sucker for all things handmade, and this year I’m trying to choose my fave from the gorgeous collection of candles and soaps from Authentic House.

They make sustainable skincare with upcycled and organic ingredients, and offer a range of eco-friendly beauty and home products including candles.

Authentic House began in 2018 to explore everyday ways to reduce waste and live more sustainably, and they're 1% for the Planet certified.

So, which of this week's businesses excites you? It's got to be the International Elf Service for me right now - all about the Christmas magic!
Don't forget that kids' clothing and books make excellent gifts, and reusable wipes are great for teens and adults too!
Much love,
Elinor
